    I had my BTC650DP for a couple weeks now and curiosity got the best of me about the output. I put a meter around the ground cable, set the machine to 65 amps and cut some 3/8 plate. The meter only measure 50.5 amps output. I emailed Bestarc and they said that was the limit of the machine. No response on why they advertise it as a 65 amp model. Also at max air setting for 65 amps, my pilot arc will pulse on/off about every second (on 220v) no matter if I had the PA set for 3sec or 15 sec. It would work fine on 110v. Looking through the manual it states that a nozzle with a 3/64" orifice is good for 0-40 amps and a 1/16" orifice is good from 40-80 amps. The only tips that came with mine have a 1mm orifice (.039"). 3/64" translates into .045" or about 1.15mm. I ordered some bigger tips and the on/off pulsing of the pilot arc I had went away. I have yet to see if the stated voltage output is accurate. The fan eventually goes off too. With that said, It will still cut 3/4" plate "ok". Not bad for the $348 I got it for.

      Yeah it seems to be a pretty decent plasma for the money. I never noticed any surging with mine when maxed out. I wish they would ship them with both nozzle sizes, but it did cut 1/2" plate fine with the small oriface. Thanks for watching and commenting!

    awesome step by step video, it really helped me a lot. 1 remark, I think the order of the parts of the steering knuckle seal is different from what I see in your video. It is (from the knucle side to the diff) 1. small steel plates, 2. rubber seal, 3. felt ring 4. large steel plates. So basically the rubber seal and the filt ring are in between the steel parts

    I believe the MS170 is a 30.1cc saw so I would be surprised if, what night be a 62cc saw, can't beat it. Many of these Chinese saws are not the displacement they claim. Some are 10cc less than they claim. I have 2 Joncutter G2500 25cctop handle saws, and while they have their faults, they do the basics pretty good. I also have 2 other copy saws, 038 and 660, but I haven't used them yet, so can't report as to their quality. But it looks like the Neotec has turned out pretty good.

    • @FabbinAdventures
      @FabbinAdventures 21 день тому

      Oh yeah for sure, those clone saws are most definitely less cc's than they claim, i think my stihl is an ms 250, my neotec is an 038 clone i believe and it is quite powerfull, i made a video on that saw when i got it, check it out if you like! Thanks for watching and commenting!

    • @alisaproctor7725
      @alisaproctor7725 21 день тому

      You're welcome. The MS 250 is a nice saw 45cc and 3hp. That's very good power for 45cc, my Husky 50 (50cc) had 3hp. I watched a comparison test of several saws under $400us and the MS 250 blew away the others. recently bought a used 025 which I think is the same as the 250 but without AV. I wish it had AV though.

    Hey great video and jealous of your shop. Im only a few years into accumulating my tools haha. The ‘standoffs’ you have on there do you think that puts much stress on the stud in the saw side or are they pretty safe there? Im going to try a poor mans version out of wood with a steel plate holding the saw by the bar studs. You must have $1000+ worth of steel there alone. Price of steel is nuts. Cheers from nova scotia!

    • @FabbinAdventures
      @FabbinAdventures 25 днів тому

      Hey thanks for watching and commenting! I believe it was close to $700 in steel, cant remember exactly. You just keep accumulating tools for every project and eventually you will have a shop full of them. I been collecting tools since i was 8 years old, still have some of them! I seen where a guy made a saw mill out of wood on youtube, should work ok. The original logosol mill uses the same type of stand offs, i think if you dont try to feed the saw through the wood too hard it should be fine. Let the saw do the work, and keep a sharp chain on it!

    It's the feedback on the ns872 that you have that I am very interested in, since I bought the same one on Amazon while they had a great sale on it. I'm in the US and I bought mine about a week ago for about $250 counting tax. Mine came with a 24inch bar and chain. I haven't even started mine up yet. So I admit I'm hoping to hear good things about your saw holding up. Lol I admit it was an opportunity buy that I couldn't resist. The saw I was wanting I bought just before this one. A Farmatec G111 top handle saw. A clone of the Stihl Ms200t I use to have and missed. I had to pay more for it and still buy a bar and chain for it. Anyway I'm really rooting for your ns872 to hold up and keep working great for you. That big milling saw looks like a real beast and I hope you have no issues with it. Cool video and thank you for comparing your new saw to the ns872. I was hoping you bought this new saw because you were so impressed with the ns872. Lol Wishing you much success. 😎👍

      Hey man, thanks for watching my videos! When i got my ns872 i did a video on it, here is the link ua-cam.com/video/2u6CSsAWx2o/v-deo.html It has been a great saw and is my go to for cutting down trees and making fire wood, though its too big to tote around in my work truck or on the jet boat, which is mostly why i bought this proyama I bought the ns872 also as an opportunity saw because i got it for $275 canadian with the bar and chain. She was a little tough to start at first and still can be, but i have it figured out now. Choke on, 2 pulls, choke off 2 more pulls and she should fire up! It leaks chain bar oil alot so i store it vertical with the bar up, no more leaking. Shes a torqy beast and i actually love the saw! The 105cc milling saw has been awesome! Really easy to start, and torque to no end, perfect for milling, but way to heavy to use for fire wood, but great if i have a huge tree to fall with that 36" bar. Check out my channel and some of my videos, im sure you will enjoy my newer videos!

      @williamgrissom1995 27 днів тому

      @@FabbinAdventures I watched that ns872 unboxing and first cuts first. I was really glad it turned out to be the same version as mine. The first starts when you fuel up for the first time are always alot more pulls when you don't have a purge bulb to load fuel into the carb. I use to have several Stihl pro saws and they all were pretty much the same that way. Of course Stihl saws are out of reach for me anymore. I subscribed after that first video I watched of yours. Thank you so much for replying and letting me know how you've been using it. I was afraid you was just using it for a small wood milling and I won't be using mine for milling at all. Mine will mainly be used for bucking and not alot of that to be honest. I just really like a great working chainsaw of Stihl's design that holds up good. My G111 will be for little bonfires and camp fires. It's light weight and a clone of one of the most prized arborist saws out there. A used Stihl Ms200t goes for around $600 and can't afford that at all. I'll be looking out for any videos you put out of falling and bucking up trees. 😎👍

    • @FabbinAdventures
      @FabbinAdventures 26 днів тому

      @williamgrissom1995 well thanks for watching that video and subscribing. That big 105cc neotec saw started on the 4th or 5th pull if i remember right, and i was so impressed by it that when i found this super sale on the ns872 it was a no brainer to buy it. Unfortunately the prices of these neotec saws on amazon has doubled or tripled and they are not a deal any more. May as well buy a stihl if im gonna only get a chinese knock of for a few buck less. I have a project coming up that i will have to mill some logs for. Maybe i'll turn that into a video. Thanks for watching and commenting!

    I bought this saw last week. My experience was totally different. I spent an hour reading the manual front to back, assembled the saw, mixed proper fuel, added bar oil. Checked spark plug, too. Followed start directions exactly as written. 2 hours and probably 300 pulls later, after completely disassembling and reassembling the saw, not only did it not ever run, but I can't even reassemble it anymore. I took the side cover (chain side) off to try to adjust the bar and it simply will not go back together - inside the plastic cover is a metal ring that is supposed to go around the outside of the chain sprocket, but it's too tight and no matter how much I pull, twist, or flex that ring, it will not slip over the sprocket, and therefore I can't secure the side cover. Mine is going back for a refund on Monday.

    • @FabbinAdventures
      @FabbinAdventures Місяць тому

      Well that sucks, isnt that ring the chain brake? Id have to look at mine as im not real familiar with it. Are you getting another or just saying to hell with it?..lol

    • @skruface
      @skruface 12 днів тому

      @@FabbinAdventures I made sure the chain brake was off. I eventually got it back on, but the saw will not start. Started a claim with Amazon,m they stated it could not be returned. Proyama reached out to me when I left a review on Amazon, and sent me a link to a UA-cam video showing how to start the saw, but refused to return my money. Spent another 2.5 hours with a neighbor to try and get it running, still will not start. Guess I'm just out the almost $350 I paid for this trash. Lesson learned.

    Thats a great build,one thing to watch is the bucket can can put a huge force on thumb (even bend the thumb cylinder) so they usually have a relief on the thumb set lower than the bucket force,so it pushes the thumb instead of bending it...but if your dont overdo it,should be good.

    • @FabbinAdventures
      @FabbinAdventures Місяць тому

      Well, ive worked it pretty hard already and it hasnt bent anything, if i push with the bucket hard enough it seems the thumb retracts a little, so im not too worried about it, doesnt seem to have the power to hurt anything...sofar. Thanks for watching and commenting!

    If you haven't already, make sure the carburetor bolts are tight. It is pretty common that they aren't. Also, it is my understanding that the smaller Proyama chainsaws have a very restrictive muffler compared to my PCS 68. Getting a better muffler should wake up the little cutter a bit bit don't forget to adjust the carb after or it will run a lot more lean.

      @@FabbinAdventures I noticed the bar oil thing as well with mine, saws always mark territory so it weirds me out a bit! The powerhead is insanely light as well, with the 24" bar it is very bar heavy and if I am measuring correctly the 24 is actually a 25 and the 20 is actually an 18 but that's a non issue.

    Great video Ron! I have a wonderful Thermal Dynamics Cutmaster 81 but its high-frequency (HF) seriously affects the CNC controller for a plasma table I'm building. I had considered the Bestarc brand (sadly only available in HF) and had tried the 65A non-HF Yeswelder unit you previously reviewed, but I had to return it as the PCB mounts got broken in transit. I finally went with a CNC-ready 53A blow-back unit from Arcfony, the CUT-53N PRO, that I got for 400CAD.

    If you stop to think about it you're already supporting China with 95% of the stuff you buy from stores. Adding a chain saw to the mix isn't going to make it any worse. I'd like to eventually get my hands on one of the big Neo-Tec's for when felling bigger trees is required. But for now I already have ten chainsaws in my collection of varying size that need to be worked on. When I bought my MS251 back in 2015 I paid $370 US for it. So the Proyama as far as size goes is a much better deal. But I will admit that I have cut things with my MS251 that it probably wasn't meant to cut and it did it just fine for a "home owner" grade Stihl. The only thing I'm not a fan of on it is the bar oiler which is rather weak and doesn't oil a lot. So it's a good thing the biggest bar it can have is 18". Now I have a fully functioning 026 to accompany it in the woods running a 20" bar and 3/8th chain. The 026 on the other hand has a very good bar oiler as the bar oil just runs down the sides of it after use. The next saws on the list to get running are my vintage Poulan 3200, my Homelite 290, McCulloch Mini MAC 30, McCulloch 1-40 and my John Deere CS36. If you want some more nip out of the Proyama take the muffler off and see if it has a catalyst in it. If it does hollow it out so it's more free flowing and then tune your carb. It'll wake it up a bit more. If you're running quality premix oil in it at a good ratio I don't see why it would wear out any quicker than any other saw. :)

    I’m pretty sure the cylinders hold fluid even retracted there is less when they are retracted because of the space the ram fills but you are pushing a rod one way or the other with fluid so by pushing it all the way one way it doesn’t mean is completely empty

      @@FabbinAdventures ok i just didn’t know if you were aware , but let me ask you something, i got one of these mini X recently and it has issues , it didn’t have much power and when you move something let’s take for example the boom up and down the engine sounds like it’s maxed out under heavy load and i my thinking was that going down it shouldn’t even do that because the weight of the whole arm it’s already putting pressure down so it’s technically just letting the pressure out one side , so i had an idea and made a test , i took both hoses off the boom and connected the together in a closed loop with a TEE and a gauge on it , when i worked the lever the pressure on the gauge gets to 2500 or 2600 psi where i think it should be near nothing since it should be going right back to the tank so i think it’s fighting 2k plus pounds just to move , what do you think it’s wrong with it ??? I think it’s the multi hydraulic valves assembly

    • @FabbinAdventures
      @FabbinAdventures Місяць тому

      @VergorioVergara definitely sounds like you might be fighting a restriction somewhere. Definitely shouldnt be struggling when its unloaded, unless your not running enough rpm and your asking for max movement, then it might sound like its loaded.

    • @VergorioVergara
      @VergorioVergara Місяць тому

      @@FabbinAdventures not rpm issue , it gets worse the faster i run the engine , a restriction or the valves are feeding pressure on both houses at the same time , i ran it on a bucket and i had fluid coming out on both hoses when actuating the lever , one had a lot less flow but still was coming out
